  4. Hi Guys,

I looked through theactiveexplorer.com and I was wandering if you are open to allow guest-posting or would be interested in advertising inquiries.

I would like to know whether I can write a guest-post relevant to your blog. For the advertising inquiry, I am interested in sponsored content just to increase the awareness of my new blog in the outdoor industry.

I am excited to hear back from you.

    Thanks,
    John

  5. Hi Erika & Laura,

Since you have a connection to Tahoe, I thought you might be interested in sharing with your readers that the beloved Alpenglow Sports Winter Speaker Series is going virtual this year! Established in Squaw Valley in 2006, the series is now in its 15th year, hosting local and nationally renowned outdoor legends, including Lynn Hill, Jeremy Jones, Tommy Caldwell, Chris Burkard, Chris Davenport, Alex Honnold, and Emily Harrington.

Presented by Peak Design, the program this year will kick off on November 19th with mountain guide Dave Nettle, followed by famed athletes Cody Townsend (Dec 3) Angel Collinson (Jan 7), Ingrid Backstrom (Feb 4) and Vasu Sojitra (Feb 25). All programs are FREE and upon registration can be watched live or anytime after the LIVE premiere. A LIVE Q&A with the athletes will follow each show.

From Dave Nettle’s tale of “Sheltering In Place” while stuck in a tent in a remote mountain range for a brutal 10-day storm, to Cody Townsend’s Fifty Project, to Angel Collinson’s extreme skiing in Utah in “Another Half Mile,” to Ingrid Backstrom’s “Little Big Mountain Skiing” on how to balance a ski career with becoming a mother, concluding with Vasu Sojitra’s introduction to “ninjasticking,” these presentations are geared toward the Tahoe-based as well as larger mountain and outdoor community to light up excitement for this winter season as well as offering guidance on how to pursue your passion while following pandemic restrictions.

As you might know, the series raises 50k per show for local non-profits.

I was hoping you might be interested in a highlight of the series or an interview with one of the athletes in advance of the event to let people know that it will come to their living rooms this winter. It’s a “Not Miss” to be sure!

    Best,
    Julia Drake
